We design and implement YouCam (Perfect Corp) AR virtual try-on technology so shoppers can try makeup (VTO), hair color, clothes, rings/watches and more before they buy.
From REST APIs (V2 File API + Task API) to the JS Camera Kit SDK, we build a hardened integration layer (rate limits, retries, webhooks) and a conversion-focused try-on UI for PDPs and virtual fitting room flows.
Read the guide: Virtual Try-On API Integration (2026)
You already have (or are planning) a YouCam / Perfect Corp licence and need a technical partner to turn the YouCam API + Camera Kit into a robust, conversion-focused experience on your site or app.
Typical goals
Shoppers buy with confidence when they can see shades, finishes and fits on their own face and body. Virtual try-on reduces guesswork and post-purchase regret.
Your constraints
Limited internal engineering capacity, strict brand UX, and the need to keep API traffic, errors and latency under control. I design around these from day one.
We follow the official YouCam AI AR API and Camera Kit patterns: file upload → task creation → status polling / webhooks → result rendering, wrapped in a hardened integration layer.
File & input handling
We submit the input to the V2 File API (either upload or provide a file URL). When a presigned URL is returned, we upload via secure PUT.
We enforce supported formats/dimensions and validate inputs to reduce failed tasks.
Task orchestration
We call the V2 Task API with your chosen AI feature (e.g. makeup-vto, cloth, ring, skin-analysis) and receive a task_id.
We either poll status or use YouCam webhooks, then expose a clean internal API to your frontend (PDP widgets, virtual fitting room, quizzes).
Experience layer
For real-time capture, we integrate the YouCam Camera Kit SDK in your browser or app, handling permissions, guided capture, face checks and output (base64/blob). We then compose UX flows that feel native to your PDP, quiz or consultation experience.

AI Imaging
We work with your current stack (WordPress/WooCommerce, Shopify/headless commerce, custom Node.js/PHP backends) and design the integration so your marketing team can use it without fighting the tech.
A hardened backend (Node.js or PHP) that talks to YouCam over HTTPS, manages bearer tokens, rate limits, retries and error codes (429, invalidTaskId, invalidParameters, etc.), and exposes a simple internal API to your site or app.
Ideal when you want multiple frontends (web, mobile, internal tools) consuming the same AI AR capabilities.
We embed virtual try-on CTAs into product detail pages, quizzes, or landing pages with clean UI, loading states and fallbacks (e.g. when camera permissions are denied or network is unstable).
Works well for WooCommerce, Shopify-style flows (via headless) and custom ecommerce.
For teams that want to go further, we can wrap YouCam APIs behind a Model Context Protocol (MCP) layer, letting your internal AI assistants (e.g. IDE copilots) trigger AR tasks during development, QA or content preparation.
Optional and internal-only – the public website stays simple; your team gets power tools.
I treat YouCam as a critical dependency: idempotency, schema validation, logging, observability and safe fallbacks – not just “call an API and hope it works”.
We design flows that feel native to your brand, not like a bolted-on demo. Smooth transitions, clear copy and guidance, and careful handling of edge cases.
Experience with Indian and Australian businesses, timezone-friendly communication, and a clear written plan before any code is shipped.
Tell me your current stack, YouCam licence scope and the journeys you want to enable. I’ll respond with a short architecture note, phases and approximate timelines.
